Song of the Flames | KT OLLA

I HAVE loved the Lord and served Him

Faithfully from my time of youth

I have been taught to reverence Him

And I believed His word of truth

Yet it pleased the Lord to allow

An affliction fire on my way

And each time I asked, ‘Why this, Lord?’

He often answered me and say…

My child, you know I do love you

And I will not allow one thing

That would hurt you to come your way

All I allow are for your good

But then there came another trial

I had decided that at all cost

I would seek success righteously

Yet all my hopes seemed to be lost

Because many succeed with lies

But I kept on seeking all day

Whenever I asked, ‘Why this, Lord?’

He often answered me and say…

My child, you know I do love you

And I will not allow one thing

That would hurt you to come your way

All I allow are for your good

But today, Jesus, I look back

On those darks which make stars twinkle

On those flames which churn out pure gold

On those heat sparks which make sparkles

And, Lord, I can only worship

For Grace behind my yesterday

That each time I asked, ‘Why this, Lord?’

Your response always makes me say…

My God, I know You do love me

And You will not allow one thing

That will hurt me to come my way—

All You allow are for my good!

All You allow… are for our good!
